Humiliating Revenge: Kiev Again Targeted Moscow With Drones
Amid the ongoing Russian retaliation strikes on the Ukrainian ports, Zelensky threatened Moscow with response. On the night of July 24, Ukrainian drones targeted the Russian capital.
According to the mayor of Moscow, two drones attacked the city at about 4 am. As a result of the attack, non-residential buildings were damaged. An explosion took place in a business center on Likhachev Avenue when a drone hit on the 17th and 18th floors. The wreckage of another drone was found on Komsomolsk Avenue.
The target of the attack was likely the building of the Russian Ministry of Defence located in the same district. However, the UAVs did not reach their target. They were intercepted by Russian EW means. As a result, no one was wounded, only several building received minor damage. Traffic on Komsomolsky Avenue and Likhachev Avenue was temporarily blocked.
The Russian Ministry of Defence blamed Kiev for the attack. The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the attack an act of international terrorism.
