The Russian military shared footage of the inspection by the patrol ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Vasily Bykov on the Sukra Okan cargo ship. The incident took place on August 13, when the patrol ship fired warning shots at the cargo ship en route under the flag of Palau to the Ukrainian port of Izmail. LINK
The footage shows Russian Ka-29 helicopter flying over the Sukra Okan cargo ship which did not fulfill the requirements for stopping. A group of Russian servicemen landed on the ship, checking documentation and conducting inspection activities in the ship’s premises to check for the presence of prohibited cargo. The inspection was carried out in accordance with the requirements of international laws.
After the completion of the operation, the ship continued its journey to the port of Izmail.
