[문화재청](국영문 동시 배포) 국립문화재연구소, 『2019 한국고고학저널』발간

  문화재청 국립문화재연구소(소장 지병목)는 한국고고학의 주요 발굴 조사 성과를 담은 잡지 형식의 보고서인 ?2019 한국고고학저널? 국·영문판을 발간하고, 오는 7일 오전 10시 충남대학교 문원강당에 열리는 제44회 한국고고학대회에서 ‘2019년도 국내 중요 유적 발굴 조사 성과’를 소개하는 발표회를 개최한다.

  『2019 한국고고학저널』은 2019년도에 학계와 언론으로부터 주목을 받았던 매장문화재 발굴 조사 성과 중에서 고고학을 비롯한 문화재 전문가 구성원들이 선정한 대표적인 국내외 유적의 성과를 수록한 책이다. 책자에는 청동기 시대 남해 당항리 유적부터 조선 시대 김해 읍성에 이르기까지 시대별 대표적인 국내 유적 26곳과 몽골 도르릭 나르스 유적 등 해외 발굴조사 성과가 담겼다.

  쉽게 접할 수 없는 전문적인 유물의 분석법과 보존 처리 과정을 흥미로운 기획 으로 구성하였으며, 토양 시료와 토기에 잔존해 있는 유기물을 분석해 과거의 생계 활동을 연구하는 방법과 경산 양지리 유적에서 출토된 청동 창(동모, 銅矛)과 청동 꺽창(동과, 銅戈)의 보존 처리 과정을 담았다.

  이 외에도 강화 중성 남산리 구간을 포함한 4곳의 발굴 조사 모습을 가상현실(VR) 영상으로 제작하여, 일반인이 접근하기 힘든 현장을 직접 찾지 않고도 생생하게 접할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 수록된 정보무늬(QR 코드)를 통해 해당 누리집(360VR, http://vrnrich.kr/)에 접속하면 자세한 내용을 확인할 수 있다. 아울러 2019년도 학회 정보와 통계를 수록하여 풍부한 매장 문화재 관련 정보들을 확인할 수 있다.
 
  7일 열리는 제44회 한국고고학대회에서는 『2019 한국고고학저널』에 소개된 유적들 중 9개소에 대한 발굴 성과를 발표할 예정이며, 발표는 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 한국고고학회 누리집(http://kras.or.kr/)에서 사전 신청(선착순 50명)으로 참여할 수 있다. 현장에 직접 오지 못하는 분들을 위해 국립문화재연구소 유튜브 채널을 통해 온라인 생중계 될 예정이다.

  참고로, 국립문화재연구소는 정부혁신의 하나로 ?한국고고학저널?을 2006년부터 해마다 국문판과 영문판을 발간하고 있으며 국내는 물론, 해외에도 한국고고학의 최신 성과를 알리고 학술교류 활성화에 이바지하고 있다. 올해 발간한 책자 역시 국내외 국공립 도서관과 국외 연구기관 등 관련 기관에 배포하고, 국립문화재연구소 누리집(www.nrich.go.kr, 문화유산연구지식포털)에도 공개하여 누구나 열람할 수 있도록 할 예정이다.

The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage publishes 2019 Journal of Korean Archaeology

The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage (Ji Byongmok, Director General) of the Cultural Heritage Administration, has published the Korean and English editions of the 2019 Journal of Korean Archaeology, a compilation of reports in form of a journal containing major excavation results of Korean Archaeology, and holds a conference introducing the ‘results of the major national archaeological sites 2019’ within the scope of the 44thAnnual Conference of the Korean Archaeological Society, on 10:00 am on November 7, at the Chungnam National University.

2019 Journal of Archaeologyconsists of accomplishments from home and abroad, selected by experts of archaeology and cultural heritage among the archaeological excavation results of 2019, which have received a lot of attention from academia and the media. It contains 26 national sites from the Danghang-ri Bronze Age site to the Gimhaeeupseong Joseon Town Wall, and the DuurligNars Site in Mongolia.

Furthermore, fascinating articles on a sensational way to shed light on the ancient subsistence activities by analysing the organic residues collected from soil samples and potteries, and the conservation process of the bronze spearheads and halberd from the Yangji-ri Site in Gyeongsan were included.

Other than these, VR images of four excavation sites, which are difficult to access for ordinary people, including the Namsan-ri Section of the Jungseong Fortress in Ganghwa, were produced, so they can be experienced vividly without actually having to visit them. Great store of information related to cultural heritage including academic conferences and statistics of 2019 are contained in this issue.
Results of nine amidst the sites introduced in the 2019 Journal of Korean Archaeologyare scheduled to be presented at the Annual Conference of the Korean Archaeology Society, taking place on the 7th, and 50 people in order of the application on the website (http://kras.or.kr/), can take part in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The conference will be broadcasted online via Youtube live streaming on the official Youtubechannale of the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage.

The National Research Institute of Cultural heritage as part of ‘government innovation’ is contributing to the promotion of the most recent achievements of Korean Archaeology inside and outside of the country, and stimulation of academic exchanges by annually publishing Korean and English editions of the Journals of Korean Archeologysince 2006. The issue of this year as well will be distributed to national and public libraries and research institutions in- and outside of the country and made available online on the website of the NRICH, (www.nrich.go.kr, Cultural Heritage Research Knowledge Portal) for public access.

The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage of the Cultural Heritage Administration, as an executive agency, will strive to provide publicity to the research data and make efforts for national and international experts as well as the public to apprehend the achievements and values of our cultural heritage more easily and conveniently, reflecting the demands of the times.
