[문화재청](국영문 동시배포) 한 - 프랑스 문화유산 교류협력 의향서 체결

  문화재청(청장 최응천)은 12월 2일 오전 10시(현지 시각) 프랑스 파리 호텔 드라마린(Hotel de la Marine)에서 프랑스 국립기념물센터(기관장 Philippe B？laval)와 문화유산 교류협력 의향서(Letter of Intent)를 체결한다.
* 국립기념물센터 : 1914년 설립된 프랑스 문화통신부 소속 국가기관으로, 프랑스 전국에 산재한 건축물·고분·유적지 등에 대한 보존·복원·활용·홍보·출판 등 담당 (소관 관리문화재 : 개선문, 노틀담 성당, 몽생미셀 등 100여개)

  양 기관은 이 의향서에 따라 앞으로 두 나라의 ▲문화유산 보존 및 활용, ▲교육 및 교류 프로그램 운영, ▲공동 조사·연구 및상호 인적 교류·방문, ▲양국 문화유산 전시 및 홍보, ▲문화유산 기관 자매결연, ▲문화유산 분야 기업 활동 지원 등의 협력을 할 것이다.

  이번 의향서는 작년 프랑스 정부 측의 요청으로 논의가 시작되어 체결되는 것으로, 그만큼 우리나라 문화유산 보존·관리 수준과 인적 자원 역량 등이 문화강국인 프랑스에서도 인정된 것으로 평가된다.

  문화재청 관계자는 “이번 의향서 체결로 우리나라 역사와 문화유산의 우수성이 프랑스에 체계적이고 지속적으로 알려지는 계기가 되기를 바란다. 또한 프랑스의 뛰어난 문화유산 관리·활용·관광 사례나 정책 등도 공유해 우리나라 문화유산 보존·활용 수준을 높이는데 도움이 되도록 하겠다.” 고 말했다.

  The Cultural Heritage Administration (Administrator Choi Eung-Chon, CHA), signs a letter of intent (LOI) on cultural heritage exchanges and cooperation with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux* (Pr？sident Philippe B？laval, CMN) of France in Paris on December 2, 10 am (local time).
* A public institution under the Ministry of Culture and Communication that is responsible for preservation, restoration, utilization, promotion and publishing etc. of the monuments around France. (manages more than 100 sites: Arc de triomphe, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey, etc.)

  Through this LOI, CHA and CMA plan to cooperate in all areas of cultural heritage: conservation, preservation and protection of cultural heritage; operation of educational programs and exchanges; exchange of human resources, such as through joint research and mutual visits; exhibition and promotion of the cultural heritage of both countries; promotion of cooperative relationships between the cultural heritage institutions of the two countries; support for cultural heritage entrepreneurship.

  The LOI is to be signed after the initial request of the French government last year. It is evaluated that the level of preservation, conservation and the professional capabilities of the Republic of Korea have been recognized in France, a cultural powerhouse.

  An official from CHA stated, “With the signing of the letter of intent, we hope the wealth of the history and cultural heritage of Korea will become better-known in France and it will be a chance to enhance our cultural heritage management and promotion through exchanging cases and policies on heritage management, promotion and tourism of France.”
